Offering a clear view of the C07 movement with 80-hour power reserve through the beautifully crafted dial, the True Square Open Heart is a sight to behold and one that is not easily forgotten. In fact, it’s the only square, high-tech ceramic watch with a skeletonised dial you’ll find.
The square watch has long been an iconic look closely associated with Rado, but it appears for the first time in 2020 in an injected monobloc high-tech ceramic case. Three new ‘open heart’ watches are presented in signature Rado glossy black, gleaming white and pioneering plasma. It’s like looking back into our glorious past but with technology and high-tech materials that could only be produced in the 21st century. 80 hours of power reserve make this a practical watch with staying power beyond its striking good looks.
The futuristic flavour doesn’t end there! The monobloc case with its gently rounded corners is both enduring and a truly modern, comfortable, ergonomic shape found in every aspect of everyday life. But a focus on the future doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten tradition and emotion.
The movement and movement holder feature some of the best-loved traditional watchmakers’ decorations and the jewels that reduce friction are there for all to see.
Being able to see the movement is a unique experience for watch enthusiasts, who can lose hours fascinated by the precise movement, the coiling and uncoiling of the balance spring, the gentle click of the cogs and wheels all turning in microscale. It’s a great reminder that time is truly precious. Black and plasma keep it understated while white goes all out with the addition of 12 twinkling diamonds for indexes.
